Rockwell Collings Green Initiative Award 2010
Cedar Rapids, Iowa (April 27, 2010) – Rockwell Collins named Modern Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc., the 2010 Green Initiative Supplier of the Year at its Annual Suppliers Conference.
The Green Initiative Supplier of the Year award is an acknowledgement of the significant contributions made by a supplier. Over the past few years, MME has implemented a number of changes to create awareness and sustainability for the environment. It replaced its light bulbs with LED bulbs, installed power savers that make its energy use more efficient, recycled office materials, metals, and coolant, among other improvements.
MME’s values and improvements are well-aligned with Rockwell Collins’ belief that, “taking care of the environment is vital to our future and that doing so benefits our communities and the people who live and work here.”
