At its Supplier Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah, L3 Communications Systems West awarded Modern Manufacturing and Engineering, Inc. its Supplier Excellence Award for 2016.
Less than 1% of L3’s suppliers qualify to receive this award. It recognizes suppliers who have been nominated and have met the criteria to receive the award. The criteria includes: a scorecard (quality and delivery) composite rating of 98 to 100, lead time or cost reduction, a minimum of 10 deliveries in the calendar year, AS9100, ISO9001, or an acceptable CSW supplier risk assessment score, subcontract administrator satisfaction, and supplier quality satisfaction.
L3 Communications is a prime contractor in aerospace systems. L3 is also a leading provider of a broad range of communication and electronic systems and products used on military and commercial platforms. Its customers include the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, US Government intelligence agencies, NASA, aerospace contractors, and commercial telecommunications and wireless customers.
